- A Worship Planning Team meets to plan worship, develop worship
visuals and themes, and to plan special seasonal worship services. - Our pastor helps families celebrate Weddings, Funerals, and the
dedication of parents and children to Christian nurture. - Our Elders and Deacons, elected by the Congregation, serve in
worship on a calendar rotation basis. The Elders as Spiritual Leaders
of the congregation are involved in pastoral care and home
communion to those who are unable to attend worship. - The Pastoral Relations Committee, appointed by the Board, serves
as liaison to relate to and for the congregation and pastor. - Volunteer Worship Leaders, Greeters and other Lay Leaders
serve in a variety of ways to provide leadership in worship and through
the Music Ministry of the Church - The Chancel Choir provides worship each Sunday and for seasonal
worship services. The Choir, under the direction of Mr. John Whittle,
practices on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. September-May.
Vocalists and instrumentals provide special music during the summer
months. - Ministry Teams help North Chevy Chase Christian Church live out
and practice the priesthood of all believers through the unique gifts of
all people for ministry. We are organized into Ministry Teams
(Christian Nurture, Community Building, Spiritual Growth, Stewardship
Development) as the simple plan for church leaders defined in
Ephesians 4:11: "to prepare God’s people for works of service so that
the body of Christ may be built up"
