The Power of Spirituals Concert February 5, 2012     .     1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

 

"The Power of Spirituals"

is designed and accompanied by Eileen Guenther and features commentary on the context in which the Spiritual was created as well as slave narratives intermixed with the spirituals themselves sung in a variety of arrangements by renowned soloists Millicent Scarlett, soprano and Robert Baker, tenor.

This concert is being underwritten by the Music Patrons' Fund, but donations will be accepted at the door.
